Dr. Ryan Sanders
As the Founder, Managing Director, and Senior Consultant at Educate Innovate Inspire Consulting, Dr. Ryan Sanders draws upon his extensive expertise in business management, organizational leadership, community and economic development, international affairs, and teaching to help businesses and organizations enhance productivity and achieve peak performance.
Ryan has a deep understanding of the complex dynamics involved in effectively managing employees, time, and financial resources. His knowledge extends beyond theory; he has substantial practical experience, which includes his tenure as Managing Director of the Red Lion Development Corporation, a real estate investment firm, (2003-2016) where he managed the strategic and financial operations, directed capital investment planning, developed acquisition strategies, and collaborated with financial institutions and civic stakeholders to expand commercial and residential holdings.
Ryan has also worked for a number of organizations in key roles, including the Republican Governors Association (2004), the Republican Leadership Council (2001-2004), the European Commission (1999-2000), and the Government Accountability Office (1999). His commitment to public service and leadership was further strengthened during his run for a seat in the U.S. Congress during which he focused on issues of accountability, economic development, civic engagement, community safety, and constituent services.
In addition to his consulting work and professional experience, Ryan is passionate about education and investing in the next generation of leaders. Most recently, he taught international business at the University of Delaware’s Lerner College of Business and Economics and served as a Faculty Director for the College’s international education programs. He has also taught political science, international relations, and leadership at York College of Pennsylvania and Harrisburg Area Community College.
As an engaged community member, Ryan has held prominent leadership positions with community organizations, including serving as the past-President of the Red Lion Area Business Association (2007-2012) and made significant contributions to the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the York County Economic Development Corporation.
Ryan’s research interests focus on organizational behavior, leadership, training and team building. These are complicated areas that can hamper productivity in organizations unless managed effectively. A deep understanding of human behavior in complex organizations requires a scientific approach. His doctoral dissertation focused on how to improve the effectiveness of corporate training programs.
Ryan's distinctive combination of practical experience, academic expertise, and community engagement equips him to effectively guide organizations in reaching their goals and unlocking their full potential. His diverse background makes him a valuable asset in diverse settings, capable of bringing people together, providing leadership training and coaching, and transforming the way leaders and teams work to achieve their shared missions.
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in history, political science, and international studies from Dickinson College, his Master’s degree in international relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and his Doctor of Business Administration degree in organizational leadership at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, further deepening his expertise. Additionally, he is a certified Practitioner for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Six Sigma Black Belt.
